Welcome to Gareth Davies Interiors!

I’m Gareth Davies, a passionate and experienced interior designer based in South Wales, specialising in commercial interior design. With years of expertise in transforming spaces into stunning, functional environments, I’m here to help you bring your vision to life.

Who I Am

As a freelance interior designer, I’ve built my career on a love for creativity, practicality, and collaboration. My journey into interior design began with a deep appreciation for how spaces influence our daily lives—from inspiring productivity in workplaces to creating welcoming atmospheres in hospitality venues. College became the driver for my love of interiors, hearing stories from a respected lecturer about her experience being an interior designer and thinking...I want to do that too. With the valuable teaching of Interior Design at the University of Glamorgan, I was able to obtain my BA (Hons) in Interior Design, achieving a First Class Honors with Academic Excellence Prize. This is when I knew I was on the right path.

Over the years, I’ve honed my craft, working with a variety of clients and delivering tailored designs that balance aesthetics and functionality. I have worked in a number practices in South Wales/ South West England, Utopia, Paramount and Rio Architects to name a few. By working with like minded designers, experienced projects teams and the wider contractor network, my relationships with the people who support and mentor me has grown into friendships.

With the end of 2024, it brought about the creation of my freelance interior design business. Gareth Davies Interiors would continue to support and provide design services for clients across the UK.

What I LIKE

Favourite Pass Time:

Working on my House aged at 1982, renovating various areas, adding an extension and aesthetically upgrading the rear garden.

Favourite Food:

For a time it has always been anything Italian. For 2025 it's diet time meaning anything other than a salad is my favourite!

Favourite Architect/Designer:

For years my inspiration had been the Masters, Frank Lloyd Wright, Corbusier, Zaha Hadid and Norman Foster. One that always stood out and inspired my University dissertation was Tadao Ando, a Japanese concrete architect that uses light, form and the environment to shape his designs.

Favourite Book:

Having always been intrigued and excited by Japanese culture, my favourite book has always and probably always will be 'Memoirs of a Geisha' by Arthur Golden.

Favourite Movie:

Sad I know, but stick with me...... 'Wicked' has become my absolute favourite film going into 2025. The theatrics, the stage designs and of course the unforgettable music makes it something that always sings in my mind.
